Martin S. Feldstein

Martin S. Feldstein
An accomplished economics professor at Harvard, President Emeritus of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and winner of the John Bates Clark Medal. Feldstein's research focuses on macroeconomics and public finance. In 2005, he was considered along with Ben Bernanke to succeed Alan Greenspan as chairman of the Federal Reserve.

Born in New York City in 1939, Feldstein also served as president and CEO of NBER, Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers and has played important roles in the Reagan, George W. Bush and Obama administrations. Feldstein is ranked in the top 5% of economics authors according to criteria such as the number of published works (more than 300), number of citations and number of journal pages. He has also been on the board of directors of several corporations.
